In 2014 I founded Part-up: a cooperative marketplace where work revolved around tasks and contributions, not jobs or titles. We won the Finext New Organising Award, spoke in the Dutch House of Representatives about the platform economy, and sold the company in 2021.
What I learned in those years defines everything I do now: people move when they understand why something is needed — and when they feel seen in the process. Systems only change when the people inside them are willing to look differently.
I also learned it up close: a burnout made me feel that movement is never purely rational. That experience makes me calmer as a change expert — and more human as a speaker.
For years I thought mainly in terms of technology, innovation and organisational design. The longer I guide organisations, the more I see that real change is ultimately human: behaviour, safety, energy and the willingness to move differently. That search brought me ever closer to intervention science, coaching and body awareness. Not as the opposite of technology, but as its necessary complement.

I believe this era doesn’t just ask for new technology, but above all for new ways of seeing, collaborating and organising. That’s why I study how people and systems move. On stages. Inside organisations. In conversations. And increasingly, in myself.
I don’t just study how organisations change. I try to live congruently with what this era asks of us.
